TBK Consult opens office in Bangalore, India
Advancomm with offices in Bangalore, India has joined the TBK Network of business specialist globalizing the software industry.

For many companies in the world India is considered as first stop for programming and back-office outsourcing activities. However, India is also one of the fastest growing IT and telecommunication markets. The India IT market grew at over 26% in 2005 (including domestic BPO-ITeS), providing tremendous opportunities for IT and telecom vendors and service providers. In 2005, India was ranked as the 18th highest IT spender and it is expected to move up to the 13th position in 2010. India's IT and Telecommunications Market is growing exponentially and these include various products/segments driving the market like PCs, enterprise systems, storage, MFDs, IT Services, packaged software, BPO, enterprise applications, telecom services, datacom etc.

The prerequisites for market entry in India are slightly different from other markets. Having a clear customer value proposition, a well defined value chain and knowing the competitive situation is obviously important. But many Indian companies are prepared to accept products with English documentation and to run the business processes using English as the language. The availability of qualified and English speaking staff is also substantial.

“Few software companies still do not have India as a top priority on their market penetration list ", says Varadarajan Krish founder and President of Advancomm, "but that is mostly due to lack of knowledge and market insight.  The Indian customer is generally technology savvy, ready to try new products and solutions and often possess the resources required to make an early technology work. India is becoming a very attractive market in itself, also for early movers."

Looking at the Indian software industry, companies often don't devote the resources to the rest of the world because foreign markets are considered time-consuming & expensive to reach, while local markets in their own backyards seem easier to enter.

The TBK Network allows Indian software companies to enter world-wide markets with the help of a local, rather than as a foreigner," says Varadarajan, who has worked for the last 15 years bringing Indian technology companies to new markets.

"With Advancomm India joining the TBK Network of software marketing specialist, we can now provide the Indian software industry with global strategy development services as well as providing the incoming clients with market assessment, analysis and implementation services" says Hans Peter Bech, founder and CEO of TBK Consult and TBK Network. "India is certainly becoming an attractive market, but it takes local expertise and resources planning and preparing your first bridgehead, from where you can grow and expand your business."
